"I'm very happy," beamed Clarence J. "Charley" Erath as he shook the hands of more than 100 long-time friends who gathered yesterday for a luncheon in his honor at the Andrew Jackson Restaurant. After 45 years with the Southern Pacific Railroad, Erath is retiring as assistant district-freight and passenger agent. Some of the many who came to congratulate him have been his pals for over 45 years.
