John J. Pontiff - A striking 20-year-old blonde in tight slacks and blouse and her 30-year-old boy friend of a month were arrested today after detectives said they found in their apartment: several Red Devil barbiturates; a "quantity" of pornographic pictures; a two-year-old boy officers say may have been kidnapped; A notebook containing a list of men's names with "$100" written in after each name; and a brown envelope containing $36 addressed to "Dora" from "Yvonne." ... In addition, Giordano said the man is being investigated for possible kidnap charges. He told the officers they boy was his, but that he had taken it from a downtown hotel, where its mother, his estranged wife, had left it. About 6:40 am today the officers were approached by John J. Pontiff, 24, of 1438 Pauline. Pontiff told the detectives he had been ransacking automobiles during the night and that he had found a bottle of pills in one that looked to be dope. Thief.
