Brigadier General H.C. Hodredge (retired), above, sent a letter (4/1) to Chairman Chan Gunney (Republican-South Dakota) of the Senate Armed Services Committee, protesting the committee's refusal to give him a hearing on universal military training, now being considered. Holdredge is an outspoken foe of UMT. He threatened to put Gurney on a "personal purge list" of person's who should be "hanged for treason."
